The Death of Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter
At about 12pm today, Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter died as the result of a stingray barb to his chest. The accident occured off the coast of North Queensland at Port Douglas in Australia.

It's very sad, but at least he went out with a bang, and while doing what he loved most.
I wonder if he'd rather us hear of the death of an old man who quietly died at home many years from now. I bet he'd have wanted it just this way.

I second the above, and also think a clean, surgical death by barbed poison is preferable to the other, horrific way he could have died, at the mercy of a big croc. That would have been too horrible.
I recall a doctor a few months ago snatched off a river in Africa by a monster croc, and it was really shocking to everyone.

I was deeply saddened by my good pals death. He was like a father to me.

That's my ytmnd, and it was meant as a tribute to Steve. I watched his show from day one, and that's how I believe he is now---riding triumphantly on the back of the stingray.
